Why wont my 96 shadow 600c go faster than 50
My bike will idle fine and rev in neutral just fine also first and second work fairly well and third is a little sketchy so is 4th and I can't go faster than 50 miles an hour

Petey Teal ... i will concede to any other theories on this matter as im not well versed in mechanic law....but with my experience, when revolutions are limited in a motpr, its either a built in protection (limiter, computer type setting) or a clog. there shouldnt be a cutoff at 50 moh so i doubt it is any type of saftey limit and more of a clog at this point. with these type of limiting clogs, it is related to either a catalytic converter or exhaust based clog. (trapped gasses)
