I went through the reset process and the startup screens came on, but when the next screen came up, the screen faded. You can see that the items are there on the screen but they are too faint to read

Go to settings and turn up the brightness. A lot of tablets and cellphones turn on dim and you have to turn up the brightness.

post some pics of what youre seeing. may be a display issue, a mother board issue with the dimming control or a setting in software. pictures and more info will help determine some things.
