1 What’s wrong with my iMac and it’s LCD?
I recently got given this iMac by my father with the following problems :
I have replaced the LCD only and am now thinking maybe its a LCD connector issue with relation to the pixel scattering on the screen.
Then there’s the issue of it not actually booting up and staying on this console screen. I have a bluetooth mouse and keyboard for it but they seem to be useless until I connect them using the GUI.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
ps i also think the disc reader has a disc stuck in it, how would i go about extracting it without buying an new one or breaking this one.

This series needs a USB keyboard to control its book options.

I have one but it a regular keyboard used on my windows PC will that suffice?

Yes, that will work! See if you can get diagnostics to come up press the D key.
