360 S wont power up, flickering orange light on brick

We tried to turn on our 360S 250MB after it had been off for a few weeks. Working fine previously. No front lights, orange (red?) light on brick. Nothing on console. Got another brick on amazon, now light on brick is a pulsing/flickering orange and fan surges low to about half speed. No lights on console. Tore console down and examined connections, solder. No visible issues. I’d appreciate thoughts. Console was babied over the years. A puzzle. Thanks.
