How can I fix my broken zif connector so that the thumbstick works

Block Image

Last week I replaced my LCD from my 2DS. This was successful and the screen is now working properly again. Unfortunately the zif connector of my thumbstick broke during the "operation". Replacing the zif connector does not seem to be a solution for me partly because I do not know which connector to order, where to order it on the internet and how to solder it.

For this reason, I would like to use double-sided tape to apply pressure to the cable. Unfortunately I don't know which double sided tape to use. Double-sided tape from the Tesa brand costs 15 euros atleast. In addition, I have the idea that this tape is too thick for a 2ds. I'd love to hear your advice.

To clarify: The thumbstick still works, but currently drifts constantly to the left. I screwed the 2ds together and put pressure on the place of the zif connector, which solved the problem. So when applying pressure, the thumstick works. However, I cannot constantly apply pressure to the connector location. I also added a photo.

Thanks in advance! Regards, Romano
