Fat PlayStation 2 won’t spin any disk

I have a fat ps2 5001 model it came with a Hd 7 laser but I replaced it with a 400c laser I took off the solder point on the new laser first time doing that I think I did ok but not sure anyways now my ps2 won’t spin disk I tried other lasers from other ps2 and it’s the same thing the laser try’s to adjust and then stops without ever spinning the disk the little bar with tracks on the side turns and laser moves down but then can’t go any further but the bar continues to spin witch causes a ticking sound at this point I’m tired but I hope to get help
