Why can’t I get the Apple symbol to disappear?

After trying to do the latest update to my Apple Watch , the watch got stuck with only the apple symbol flashing while on the charger. It will not reset. The side button appeared to be stuck but I don’t think it is. It just simply will not reset, and the apple symbol shows up when I hold down the side buttons for 10 seconds and then disappears.
