My dishwasher want run a complete cycle

I have a whirlpool wdta50sahz dishwasher that will not run a complete cycle. It will switch either to sensor mode or just stop about 15 minutes into. The control lock comes on sometimes when it fails running. I've changed out the control panel same thing happens. So I'm sure that's not the problem. I've only used it a year ,bought it 2 years ago.

Hi,

Check behind the kick plate (toe plate?) or the door cover to see if there is a "tech sheet" there.

This will show how to get into the diagnostic mode for the dishwasher.

Hopefully once you run a diagnostic cycle there will be an error code that will help with what the problem may be.

Unfortunately I have misplaced my tech sheet .

@charles carwile ,

Not sure if this method is applicable to your model but you can only try.

There is most likely lint in the water tubes. The is a drainage tube that collects water that should be on the bottom or back. Turn the water off and remove the tubes. Power wash any lint out and reinstall. Hope this helps.

Okay the first thing I always check is the door switch, which I have seen cause intermittent problems. A few it was related to that came into play like clockwork at a point in the cycle, Also a bad heating element can cause a mid cycle stop. I’m not sure if this one applies to yours but there have been a few I have seen with a cooling fan that fails and stops mid cycle. Make sure drainage is not kinked, blocked and that evacuation pump is not being obstructed……control board and some with a dial to control them have a timer issue. Also make sure the proper gauge wire was used and that the length is proper for application,…..if it is related to a heated cycle when it stops I would check the element and it’s connections…….there are so many things to check and I hope this helps.

Pull your filter that is at the bottom of the washer and see if you have any obstructions. I had a piece of a broken glass in mine which was causing it to stop running.
