Hi @crna1ab ,

What is the model number of the washer/dryer combo?

Is there anything showing on the control panel for the washer, e.g. lights?

There may be power for the dryer but is there power for the washer. Have you checked that both the fuses for the combo unit are OK?

Model lte6234dq2 no lights on this unit. Bypassed lid switch. Appears not to be that.

@crna1ab ,

Since there is no power on the washer unit, as suggested, did you check the fuses, you didn’t say?

The installation guide for the unit mentions that two supply fuses are required in the household power box to feed power to the combo unit.

Did you check if yours had two fuses and if both are OK? One is for the dryer and the other for the washer

Here’s an image of the relevant section from the installation guide for the combo unit.

Hi @crna1ab ,

Was the combo unit connected to the same wall power outlet two years ago and did it work then?

The combo unit won’t work properly if it is connected to a standard wiring, wall power outlet, i.e. it needs a dedicated wall outlet wired so that is only suitable for it.

You need to check the voltage supply at the wall outlet that the combo unit is connected to.

Usually the outlet should also be marked that it is a 30A outlet to distinguish it from a standard wall outlet so that you don’t plug anything else into it and damage it.

If you have a 4 pin outlet this will be obvious. On this type of outlet there will be two pins that have 120V AC each when measured between the pin and the neutral pin or the earth pin.

If you have a 3 pin outlet there will be two pins that have 120V AC each when measured between the pin and the neutral pin. There is no Earth pin.

If you measure between the two active pins you will get either 240V AC or maybe 208V AC. Either one is correct.

If you don’t get these voltage readings then there is a problem either in the power box, the wiring to the wall outlet or in the wall outlet itself

Be safety aware when you do this as you are dealing with lethal voltage. If you don’t know how to safely test for these voltages then don’t do it, it’s not worth it! Call an electrician.

I’m unable to locate a fuse for the washer. It’s of course on a 30amp circuit breaker. I searched online and find no mention of a fuse for the washer? Any suggestions where it would be located? Thanks

Would the compactor cause this issue?

- de

What country do you live in? Is the breaker in your box a dual throw (twin breakers)?

- de

US. No dual breaker... Thanks

This is a new construction basement finish project and the wiring was incorrect in the panel. Thanks for your help!
