A better view of the rear speaker connector

I dismounted this part (separating it from the motherboard) as the guide show, but now I need to see clearly how to connect the this part to the motherboard. Thans

Update (03/14/2020)

Thank you for your reply. According to your explanation I see that I may have made a big mistake while trying to remove the connector and I may have broken the connector.

The cable has come loose and the base has peeled off from the motherboard. Attached photos.

Can this mess be repaired?

Thank you very much

To @danj.

The macbook wouldn't start so I sent it to Apple's service, the answer was that the motherboard was damaged. And given the high cost of this repair, I decided to do it myself. And here I am learning. Although up to the hour I've only learned to break things.

So I had already ordered a motherboard on the link you recommended (I will have it this week). I would please ask you to explain to me why I have to change the fan. I'm sending you a picture of the fan and its connector.

Many thanks

Sounds like you lifted the connector off the logic board, pulling both the cable and the logic board sides off. How about posting a picture here for us to see Agregar imágenes a una pregunta existente

Can you take a picture of the logic board like what I have so I can see how it looks

- de

@robema - I guess you don't need the fan after all!

- de

@danj - Ok. thanks . I still have doubts about the connectors I've ripped off the motherboard. Do I have to separate a portion of them in order to connect them to the new board? Could you show me some pictures showing this separation? Thanks a lot

@robema - Not following you here... The new logic board with have the connector in place.

Think it like a wall plate outlet and you are plugging in a lamp. If you break the lamp plug then you need to replace that, if you damage the wall place outlet you'll need to fix that. Here we are taking the lamp down the street to a new house with its own outlet in the wall.

Sadly you did manage to damage the logic board as well

I’ve marked the two connector locations on a snippet of your image as well as rotated it so its aligned like my image.

While you where lucky in not lifting the solder pads, you now need to find replacement connectors and I do see some other areas that need to be checked. Was this system working when you started?

I would recommend you just replace the logic board as being the cheaper direction MacBook Unibody (A1342) 2.26 GHz Logic Board and you’ll also need to replace the fan assembly MacBook Pro 13" Unibody and MacBook 13" Unibody Fan

That would get you back working along as you didn’t damage anything else.

Thank you for your effort in trying to explain the situation to me. However, now that I have the new board, my great doubt is whether in the connectors I have ripped from the old logic board, I have them as one piece, but in reality it seems that they are two parts that must be separated, one that belonged to the old logic board and one to the connector. Please confirm if I should separate these two parts, I don't want to break anything else. If you have pictures of these pieces, you'd help me. Moreover, I see that the new board comes with the included cooler, let me know if I need to disassemble this part to see the processors or I don't touch anything. Thank you so much for your time.

You don't want to do anything to the logic board other than replace your broken logic board.

As I had tried to explain just like your house you have a lamp that you plug into the wall outlet you have the same here. The wall is your logic board nothing needs to be done here.

But! Your lamp cord plug might need repairs. This is where you'll need a new speaker and fan as you really can't fix the plugs on them. Just like if your dog had chewed the plug off the lamp cord.

So you'll need the following:

Reemplazo del altavoz trasero en un MacBook Unibody Modelo A1342

MacBook Unibody Model A1342 Fan Replacement

@danj

ok. First I'll try to repair and fix the plugs . Thanks for your time
