The whole screen assembly is detaching from the rest of the aluminum body, starting from the top. Is there a guide on how to reattach it? What adhesive should be used?

You can use any guide for the device to take off the screen then use any adhesive wether double-sided tape to permanent, it depends if you want repeatability or it to stay on. Also if there is any water or dust resistance, don’t rely on it after replacing the adhesive.
