Backlight out, coil or LCD the problem?

I recently dropped my phone in my kitchen. The backlight went out. I looked up online what the problem could be, it looks like it may be a 6r8 coil or my LCD display...the thing is, I'm not sure which one. I just ordered a new coil since it was so cheap, but I would like guidance on whether I'm taking the right approach. Help would deffinately br appreciated!

Don't try this attempt if you have no soldering experience. The hardest part is removing the old coil without ripping out the solder pads. Once they are lifted or damaged, it is very hard to repair the phone. When I do them, I use a very small soldering iron to do the work, and unlike other people, I don't have to clip the metal bracketry around the board. Purchase an LCD and just check with that, it is not as risky and isnt all that expensive to do so. Besure the phone is OFF when installing/uninstalling though.
