iPhone 6 won't charge
I bought an iPhone (for parts) thinking it would be an easy fix and to gain some more knowledge, sadly, it didn't turn out that way.
When I first took it apart I noticed that someone tried fixing it already as the battery in there was taken out before as it was all mangled and the ribbon cable for the battery was snapped in half.
I then replaced the battery thinking that after I do that it will work… wrong. It still won't charge or turn on.
When I test the charge speed it shows that it's “charging" at .007 amps up to .3 amps but .3 is very rare normally it stays at .007 amps and occasionally jumps to .1 amps.
I tested the tristar via grounding and testing the far left pin/post and weirdly I get a reading of 0v, I know that if the tristar is bad you will get a reading of <.7v as .69v and .5v is pretty common, but I get a reading of 0v.
So here is my main question, what is wrong with it? A bad charging port/charging flex cable or a bad tristar? And is there anything I can do to test further to find which it is.
Update (02/07/2020)
Found a bunch of corrosion and rust, a lot of stands offs and some chips have corrosion and rust. See photos.
Lost cause?
