All boot options are tried.”then press F4 and it automatically shuts

What causes a laptop to turn on and then turn off again. I can turn on the laptop as normal, after Samsung logo it appears “All boot options are tried.”then press F4 and it automatically shuts off again. You can hear the fan run for a while but other that it just turns off. So what is the cause for a problem like this?
