2018MacBook Air has also started showing symptoms of flexgate. HOW?

I was just browsing articles about if any 2018 and onwards MacBook users are facing #flexgate issue or not and I stumbled upon this article.

This MacBook Air is showing symptoms of #flexgate but the display seems to be extended ~ 90 degree.

Is this a new kind of #flexgate where display does not turn off when lid is above 50-60 degree angle but only shows stage light effect ?

I thought Apple fixed the issue on 2018 and onwards model by extending the length of backlight cable.
