Why does my accelerometer stop working after minutes of resetting?

i dropped my 6s+ in the water by mistake after drying every thing it didnt turn on , i opened it and changed the battery . every thing is working fine except the accelerometer . it works when i reset the phone but after 3 minutes it stops working .

any ideas how to fix it ?
