Image frozen on glitchy snow on RCA RLED4243A-UHD. What's the problem?

Hi! I have a RCA RLED4243A-UHD on which the image is stuck on a kind of glitchy snow patchwork that is not moving at all. Here are a few things that I have considered important to mention:

- The TV is stuck on this image whether sources are connected or not

- I have sound and I can switch channels and inputs

- Unplugging the TV for a long period of time doesn't help.

- The capacitors seem to be OK, as far as I can tell

- About a year ago, the hdmi/vga ports all stopped working so I had to buy an HDMI to component converter. The converter does not seem to be part of the problem however since when it's unplugged or when I switch sources, it doesn’t solve anything.

As soon as the TV is turned on, this frozen glitchy image appears and it does not seem to matter if a source is plugged in or not. However, with component and cable (coaxial), I only get sound and the image issue remains the same. I know that I’m able to switch channels and inputs only because of the audio.

HDMI and VGA ports ceased to work about a year ago and before this particular problem occured, I had the ‘no signal’ warning on each and every one of them: no sound and no audio. Component and coaxial used to work just fine, image and sound-wise.

Jean-Philippe Maheux you are not telling us if it works while it is connected to the component input. If so it is most likely your main board that is giving you those issues. If it does not you will have to take a closer look at your LCD driver board.
