iPhone not charging after new charge port, VCC_main cap missing

Would the capacitor c5202_rf (its missing for some reason) be the reason why the device will not take on power? Or should i replace tristar? Battery is fine and charging port. No short on VCC_main.

Don’t worry about replacing the cap, it will boot perfectly fine without it. Replace Tristar and let us know if that fixed it.

I have replaced tristar (my first ever repair) the phone draws 0.4 amps compared to 0 before, waiting for it to boot up if it will.

Phone has picture therefore cannot be short anywere? Its not booting!

I am not sure what you mean by “has picture but not booting.” Do you mean you can see the screen on 3UTools?

If it is just showing the apple logo it might need to be updated. This will need to be done sometimes after a Tristar replacement.

Like the low battery symbol comes up and it recognises that its charging, but only charges at around 0.4 amps. Is this normal? And yes it wont boot to the apple logo just shows low battery.

No, this is not normal. If you have the battery symbol the phone should be drawing about 1.1A.

I would look carefully at Tristar, tilt you board on an angle and make sure the chip it is even. Maybe put some flux around it, heat up and give it a nudge if it comes back into place it should be fine. If it still does the same I would look at Tigris and the charging mosfet.

C5202_rf mostly remove it while on VCC main short. That cap have no region to power on.Can you explain the amp taking process on DC power supply.History of the board is important. So,if possible explain all .

I seem to think the phone was dropped which makes me think that why the cap must have fell off, usb power meter shows no amp draw from mains, there is less than 0.1 amp on dc power supply. I have got the phone to boot before so no shorts. It will not recognise a charging cable even on itunes neither will it charge.
