On my iPhone 7, the home button works and clicks, but when I try to use touch ID, whenever I put my finger on the home button it starts clicking rapidy and the touch doesn’t work. Any help?

That usually means a damaged button or more likely the cable on the HB itself or the one belonging to screen. You would need to inspect carefully your flex cables for micro damage. If cables are absolutely fine it might be the IC soldered on HB cable or even an issue with the logic board, with no history and testing any guess is good as another.
