I did a full housing change for my iphone 8. It had taken a bad spill and was all cracked up, but still worked properly untill I changed housings. Now it will not power on. I’m not sure where to start my backtracking and troubleshooting and was hoping for some advice.

Yes the whole time
Disconnect everything but the battery and screen and power button

I purchased a screen assembly from iFixit and changed it out and now works, except now the volume and power buttons do not work. I think the person or place I bought the housing from replaced parts not compatible with it. So now its on to changing that. I thank you for your info.
