replaced camshaft position sensor still issues

I replaced my camshaft position sensor on my 2013 terrain and a week later the check engine light came back on with 3 more camshaft errors all the same. I was told that having so many camshaft errors could be symptoms of another problem . Is that true.

Update (09/25/2019)

Mass of volume airflow circuit malfunction

“A” camshaft position-timing over advanced or system (2x)

I have a 2012 Terrain 2.4l all wheel drive. I had these dreaded speed sensor codes and stability control lights. The thing that sucks the most is that if one of the components has issues it effect all of them. I had no all wheel drive because (what i thought anyway) of a ABS light on my dash. Turns out that there is a sensor ring that is on the wheel hub. its a thin strip with dashes in it. that is what the wheel speed sensor reads, which is how the ABS is controlled as well as the stability control, and all wheel drive. long story short. Those strips on the hub can get dirty or damaged rather easily, and if it does that will cause a mess of codes and is a diy’ers troubleshooting nightmare. You can get new wheel hubs for not that much money and if you change your own brakes and rotors you can most likely handle this. hardest part is knocking off the existing hubs (hit it harder than you would think with a bigger hammer than you would think). You do need a torque wrench and a 30mm or 32mm socket for the hub nut. there is a good youtube video on how to do it and he mentions all of the appropriate torque values and socket size needed. It is for sure worth doing yourself as it takes a fair amount of time to do but does not require much skill, so it will cost several hundred at the shop plus whatever they charge for hubs. I got mine at rockauto.com.
