i just bot a G4 MDD for fifty $ was wondering if all parts were buyable dont want to get hard drive and ram and be out of luck because there is a brocken motherboard and cant get a nuther one

You can find motherboards for this mac on ebay for roughly $20-$100

Depending on the processor your MDD has, you will need one with either a 133Mhz FSB or a 167Mhz FSB (FSB means Front-Side-Bus, it is the speed that the processor is connected to the motherboard), a 133Mhz FSB CPU will operate on a Motherboard with a 167Mhz Bus, but a 167Mhz FSB CPU won't operate on a motherboard with a 133Mhz Bus
Note, when it comes to mac motherboards, on ebay or wherever your buying one, look up "logic board" not motherboard, it will produce much more results.

also, depending on your MDD, it may or may not have a Firewire 800 port (this is a square port between the ethernet port, and the Firewire 400 ports, if your computer has a firewire 800 port, than make sure that you get a firewire 800 board (ususaly will have "FW800" in the description) these motherboards also use Airport Extreme instead of the original PCMCIA AirPort Cards, please feel free to ask me any questions, since i have had a G4 MDD since 2003, and i've done a lot of repair on mine

Other than the FSB, and the firewire, the boards have the same connectors, use the same power supplys, just about everything else.
