Extremely slow external hardrive after physical impact

My old 2tb external harddrive fell while using it and now it doesn't respond to commands. I can open the storage but can't cut, paste, delete and add new files. Files won't open (videos, photos, etc. ). I can't format it properly (command prompt and other software does not work). Formatting bar will keep its progress at zero %. If i cancel the formatting progress, windows will stop working (windows is not responding) unless i unplug it immediately. Is there a way to fix this?
