Ok, gmc sonoma 1995 4.3lt.
I'm in park - I turn the key to start - the engine crank and run - the starter is still spinning, just sinning - bendix not engaged - put the transmission in gear, the starter stop - put back in park he starter spinning again

Hey Roland. To be clear- are you saying the starter on your engine continues to try and start the engine after the engine is running? And that if you then shift from "park" into "drive" the starter no longer keeps turning? Wow.
