Won't turn on after succes battery change.

I everyone. Hope to got help whit this on. I recentrly change de battery of an iPod touch 5th gen succesfully, but after i power it of it won’t turn on again.

After the battery replacement the iPod was working but it was lock and i didn’t know the code so before i ask the person the code and get the answer i decide to power off the device. Surprise when i get the code the iPod won’t turn on, try the 15 second home/power hold nothing. try to charge it for the night, nothing. finaly try to let it fully discharge for two week then plug it and re-tri the button hold and nothing.

Wish you guys have something that could help me revive that device.

Thanks

What do you mean ???

Finally get my usb ammenter and test my iPod. Looks like no charging. Does that mean automatically that my charging port is dead or there's some trouble shooting i could do?? Before battery change was supposed to work (that's what the personne told me). Could it be just a bad connection ??

Thanks for any advised

Sounds like battery may not have been bad afterall, might be charge port, charger, or wire, so try different charge equipment to see if something might work. There is also a total reset option that you might try, resets and restarts everything.

Will try other cable and charger but those are working perfectly for my iPhone so why not for the iPod. Read something about jumpstart or something like that (i know on iPod touch 4 after screen replacement sometime you have to short the battery with the charging port frame) or maybe could you tell me more about the total reset option or a link to a guide ??

thanks

Similar happened to me once on ipad, had to reopen and unplug battery to make it reset. I can't recall, but total reset was to hold volume down and power button till it restarted on my iphone 7plus. I think it was dirt and grime in the charge port or something of that nature, as it's working ever since. Good luck
