Can an iPhone SE logic board be placed in a 5S?

I have a water damaged iPhone SE that doesn’t turn on, and I have an old iPhone 5S that works just fine (screen is cracked but it functions fine). I’d like to see if it’s possible to retrieve the data from the SE, and I’m hoping that I can do this by placing the SE’s logic board in the 5S.

I just want to make a backup of the SE so I can transfer its data to a newer device that I’ll be buying soon, likely an iPhone 7. If there’s any other way of doing this I’m open to suggestions. I unfortunately did not have automatic iCloud backups enabled.

Nope, The boards are different notably the chargeport and battery.

Ah, that’s unfortunate. Would it be possible to transfer just the NAND Flash memory, or am I reaching?

The SE uses NVMe, while the 5s uses standard SSD technology, it might not be compatible

I would try cleaning the SE of its water damage if it was done recent. Putting the damaged SE logic board in a different shell will probably achieve nothing (even if a 5s shell were compatable, which they would be but all the flex cables have different connectors apart from the screen and front cam.)

Could deal with losing the front cam but can’t change the flex problems:/
