Old dryer no heat New dryer no heat

We moved houses and hooked up our Kenmore dryer. Our dryer was propane and we had to convert it to natural gas. It ran a few times and then all of sudden no heat. My husband replaced a fuse and it still didn’t work. Called Sears out and paid diagnostic fee. They said one of the other fuses that my husband had already checked was out. They wanted $350 to fix but I didn’t want to pay that for 10 year old dryer. My husband replaced the fuse and still no eat. We ended up buying a new Whirlpool Natural Gas dryer. My husband hooked it up and it worked great. After two loads on different days, no heat again

Hi @smanning1 ,

What are the model numbers of the driers?

Are both the fuses (assume you mean supply fuses) still OK or has one blown again?

Hey Stephanie.

Appliance repair man quoted $350 to replace a bad Fuse?? I think there's more to the story here, just don't know what.

One thing, sounds like it's going to be something in the utilities for the dryer, rather than the dryer, itself. Debris, etc., in the gas line could be causing an obstruction, for instance, preventing the gas from getting to the dryer.
