No power after screen assembly change?

Hi

my lcd was cracked so I decided to swap the display assembly with another. Now there is no power. It won’t turn on, the battery life indicator button shows no lights, and this was charged before. The charger cable shows no lights also.

very new to this so not sure what to do.

What was the display you put on? Are you sure you put on the correct unit.

Hi

I put on the A1278 display. It said it was for the MacBook 2010 ?

Have you checked to make sure all of the cables were put back in the original place?

Try turning it on, can you hear the fan start up then quickly shut off? If so, you poked the motherboard wrong unfortunately and it means most likely the computer is fried. If you can add a bit more details as to what is wrong though I may be able to help. Include any trouble shooting you might have already done.

Thanks,

Austin

No fans, no response at all. I’m not sure what else to add.

The display was replaced using the ifixit guide. Everything went fine.

But now its showing no signs of life.

No power light on the MagSafe adapter.

No light on the battery Health checker.

No noise or start up.

Checked all the connections are in place.

Not sure if the battery gone, it was charged. But to show no light on that the battery indicator button.

Would the MacBook work without the battery in and just the MagSafe power cable plugged in I wonder.
