iPhone 6: Apple pay NFC not detecting / scanning.

I have an iPhone 6, I've added my bank card to the Apple pay wallet and have allowed Apple pay through the mobile banking app on my phone.

When I visit an Apple pay terminal, double tap the home button and unlock the card with my fingerprint it will not scan at the terminal. I hold the phone directly over the Apple pay terminal but nothing happens.

I have replaced the 'NFC bracket interconnect flex cable' which has a little blue capacitor underneath and is secured underneath the metal camera bracket. I have also replaced the F shaped WiFi antenna. The only thing I can think of now is that the NFC chip may be broken or the little bracket that connects the motherboard to the aluminium housing near the top left side of the camera but that’s just a little piece of metal so how could that be broken?

Any help will be appreciated however I fear that the NFC chip may be broken as I don't know what else would be causing the issue. Thank you.

Is the housing genuine? Seems like you have diagnosed the correct parts so unsure what else it could be.

No, I actually replaced the aluminium housing not long ago with an aftermarket housing. The WiFi, Bluetooth and cellphone reception still work though. Are aftermarket housings incapable of delivering the NFC signal? Maybe I should switch the housing back and try it again?

I asked the eBay seller who sold the housing and this was his reply: “You have to transfer all your old parts correctly, its usually to do with a tightened screen. Definitely nothing to do with the housing”.

I have got exactly the same problem and I am pretty sure its a aftermarket housing. Because the housing position for the top screw of the NFC flex is completely plastic and there is nothing metal inside / outside what should work with the metal part of the NFC flex. I am going to try original housing and let you know later.
