Morad Almomani  I wonder if you recently tried to view anything from a USB on your TV. I suggest you are going to see if a reset will work. Unplug everything from your TV. Unplug the power cable. Push and hold the power button down for about 1 minute (the one on the TV, not the remote). After that plug the TV back in to ower and connect one input source only. Turn it on and see what it does. If a reset does not work you may have to try to get to the setup menu which will be difficult. This could be a firmware issue as well as hardware (bad main board). Please remember that this is a Toshiba and that they are just as paranoid as Apple and others and will not support any DIY efforts.

Good to know, I had no idea someone could rival Apple at discouraging DIY and third party repairs..I'll take a good note of that :)

@arbaman yup just another monopolizing, bullying and secretive company that intimidates anyone that will not follow their corporate rules. https://www.wired.com/2012/11/cease-and-... and https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable-... Read about their way of dealing with people like Tim Hicks. No different than Microsoft, Apple, John Deere, Dyson, Wahl, LG etc.

Only thing to do about companies like them is that we get organized to fight for your right.....to repair https://repair.org/stand-up

@oldturkey03 What I read is very sad and shortsighted..aren't this idiots ever thinking the planet is already an overcrowded rock with limited resources and we simply can't keep on blindly buying the latest gadget to make them richer endlessly ? Don't they have children and grandchildren..or do they think it's sufficient to be rich to be happily living in a huge overpopulated landfill ? There are many issues at stake here besides repair world that is our daily bread..I wish younger generations will drop their very interesting smartphones lives once in a while and join in, thinking new ideas to try secure their future. Some take it wide with speeches about the future of Earth that I honestly can't share..Earth is a very ancient rock that has seen endless life and death cycles..couldn't care less whatever we do.. a few millions years and someone new will eventually take our place..its humans survival we talk about :)

@arbaman I could not agree with you more on this. I am far from a "green" person and I am certain I have not always seen things in the same way as I do know. I guess I have gained enough maturity to see the damage we are causing for our future generation. Do I believe in global warming? Absolutely. Is it our fault? Absolutely. But what are we doing about it? I grew up during the 60's 70's in Europe. I remember the oil crisis in the 70's and I remember that we were talking about changing our ways then. I remember having learned about acid rain and dumping iron in our lakes and Oceans to bury Carbon Dioxide. What have we done about it? Nothing!

This is now going on for at least 40 years. We,the people need to do something about it since governments will never fix anything. People fix things, not governments that are influenced by companies like the aforementioned. @arbaman that is why we must continue to help others fix their stuff. Keep stuff out of landfill and help to reduce the onslaught of more junk by keeping devices alive. I could go on for hours :-)

Let me know if you need some help to build a solar cell or wind farm in Sardinia. I'll bring the beer :-)

Sorry Morad Almomani for hijacking this question!
