have a new key and when I connect my batterie the alarm sounds I also
chevy silverado 1500 2008 battery connected and alarm is set off , how do i stop the alarm?

Use the valet key to first lock then unlock the drivers side door.

Insert key in ignition, turn to ON position then reconnect battery, negative connection last.
I'm assuming you have tried the Unlock button on your key fob first.
