itunes error 4014 and replaced NAND already

iPhone came in with error 4014. Tried several computers and cables restoring first. Measured the voltages according to schematics and they all had value. I reballed the NAND and it gave me the same error. Checked the pads underneath and non were missing/damaged.

Placed another NAND from an icloud board and still the same error. I searched online and some say it could be BBPMU which I also replaced. I am running out of ideas. Could I have been unlucky and placed an faulty NAND

This is my first attempt fixed error 4014. Maybe I missed something?? Any tips what I could check before sending it to China for a boardswap?

You have to reprogram the NAND before installing it on your device. Also check your main NAND lines (PP0V9 and PP3V0) as well as PP1V8. If you remove the NAND again, check the pads in diode mode. Anything connected to the CPU should give you some kind of “normal” readings - check XW for expected readings.

The 3 lines all have the correct voltage. I thought I could just restore the iphone. Itunes recognizes the iphone in dfu mode. The NAND is wiped

The NAND has to be programmed via a special programmer, such as this one: JC Pro 1000S / P7

Oh I have this machine but the original NAND cannot be read. Thats why I wiped the new one. It doesn't work if I use a empty NAND and itunes to restore it?

I get a 4014 error when I try restoring with the empty NAND which suggests NAND problems. Is this because it's empty or is there something else causing this error.

If you could not read the original nand you will have to manually input the IMEI number and Mac Address into your programmer and write it to the new nand.

Late update, I took the info of an spare NAND I had and wrote its info on the wiped NAND. So I guess a nand cannot be empty when you restore??

Itunes restored the NAND without problems. It could not be activated because the serial and wifi address didn't match.I wrote the original serial and wifi address back and it asked me for the icloud info which I m waiting on so it should work now

Have you tried another charging IC (tristar)? Sometimes these can cause weird problems with restores on iPhones as that chip is responsible for USB communication and not just charging.

If not, you may want to replace the charging chip (try another charging port assembly first before doing so in case of a bad charging port).

It was the empty NAND that gave the error.
