All SSD (Flash) storage have this reaction based on the size of the storage (across the same technology).
It’s proportional to the side difference of the size difference within the logic gates of the discreet cells within the chip as well as the number of chips that make up the storage space.
The same effect is found in hard drives with the areal density of the and the number platers of the given drive (virgin, over time the scattering of the data will slow it down)!

No. Just more storage space. Speed is related to CPU and total System memory which is independent of storage memory.
