4 Replacement optical drive only shows up without hard drive installed
I've been attempting to replace the disc drive in my G4 mini, and the drive is tested fine, and even works fine in the mini provided that the hard drive is removed. This screams "master/slave" issue but even trying to jumper the hard drive hasn't helped thus far. Any suggestions? Both optical drives I've put in have been from 15" aluminum non-dual layer PowerBooks.
