Ring Video Doorbell Modelo No. 88RG000FC100

Why am I not getting Notifications

I am not getting any notifications on my phone and other iOS devices including two Mac desktops. Everything was working fine. After I charged the battery and I discovered I was not getting any notifications on my iPhone 8. Obviously I went through the basic troubleshooting steps to figure it out. I was never able to figure it out. I did look at the system health and it appears normal. The battery has a good charge and RSSI is good as well.

The Doorbell firmware is up to date and Ring App is 5.11.2. On my iPhone 8 running 12.3, all of the notifications are ON.

Does anyone else use a Ring Doorbell 2 and experience a notification issue?

What could I have possibly broken? The battery slides out from the bottom and I have taken out the battery numerous times before. Each time I have taken the battery out, charge it, put it in again.

Last week, Ring gave me a new doorbell with a new battery. I performed the swap of doorbells and batteries and didn’t solve my issue.

I have the same issue. Notifications just stopped working on my phone one day. Galaxy S10

- de

Newly fitted peep hole cam, fully charged battery. My son was able to park on the drive, walk up to the door, open it and come in and no alert received. It seems that there is no video recorded to view for around the last hour or so. First impressions wavering.

- de

Mine was working fine for the first few months then just stopped. My wife still gets notifications and she's the add-on account.

We stopped receiving notifications for both the Ring Doorbell as well as a motion cam at the back of the house about . The doorbell is functioning, and the linked chime operates when people use the doorbell; however none of our phones receive Ring notifications for any device. I can see the captured video, but something happened that seems very odd. Have trouble-shoot the Ring App and our devices; everything was and is set as it should be and tried turning on / off etc.

I ended up deleting and reinstalling the Ring app. That fixed the problem for me.

If your Ring Video Doorbell refuses to connect to Wi-Fi or you are not receiving notifications, there could be a problem with your Wi-Fi router channel or the router placement. See this Ring Video Doorbell Has Poor or No Wi-Fi Signal problem page for possible causes and solutions.

If your Ring Video Doorbell is not ringing correctly or is no longer working, use the Ring Video Doorbell Won’t Turn On problem page for possible causes and solutions.

If your Ring Video Doorbell not ringing or you cannot hear your Ring’s notifications, see the Ring Video Doorbell Does Not Ring problem page for possible causes and solutions.

If your Ring Video Doorbell is unresponsive when the ‘Ring’ button is pressed, see the Ring Video Doorbell Has Unresponsive Doorbell Button problem page for possible causes and solutions.

You can also go to the device settings and toggle all of your notification options off and then on. This worked for me.

It worked! Turn off the two alarm notifications on Ring App and then power down your phone and then turn your phone back on and then switch the two alarm notification settings on and thenPower the phone down the again and then turn phone back on and you get notifications when the doorbell rings!

Had the same problem. I have a clean master app that when I updated my phone a couple days ago must have turned something back on. After spending hours trying to figure out why I wasn't getting Ring notifications, my husband found the cleaning app was intercepting them. Disabled the cleaning app, and voila I am getting notifications again!

I was experiencing the same issues on my android. After 9 months of troubleshooting on the phone with Ring, I found out what the problem was. In your notification bar, Pull down the bar and clear the notifications from Ring. If you have more than 3 notifications From your device, you will no longer hear Your notification sounds. It is because of the update from the new Firmware of the app. I have called ring so many times that they have actually sent me a brand new ring video doorbell at no cost, wedges, and a supervisor even sent me a floodlight security camera that I have installed above my Porch , Also at no cost. That is how much I have been calling ring. I hope this helps everyone.

You can change that setting under settings, notifications, status bar. Change to all notifications, not the default newest 3! That was changed in android 9 and 10

Excuse my ignorance - computer dunce - but where to I find this notification bar. Is it in the Ring app or Android settings?

I had the same problem and nothing I did would correct it until I did the following:

I opened Ring app on my iPhone 8 Plus and turned off the alerts on the video doorbell 2. I closed the Ring app then did a reset of my iPhone. Didn’t just turn phone off and back on, I reset it. After that I opened the Ring app and turned on the alerts for video doorbell 2. It’s been working ever since.

I don't know why this works, but it worked for both my iphone 5S and ipod touch.... that's so weird!

(Note I did a "Hold the power button then slide to power off" then turned it back on again and enabled the 2 notifications)

I had discovered it was my router that was causing an issue. I have a Synology router and it has a setting called Threat Prevention. It was TP that was blocking any traffic through it including traffic to/from the Ring Doorbell to my phone. Once I excluded the Ring Doorbell, the problem was fixed.

Hello, I have the same problem with the “Aiwit” app for doorbell.

The solution I have is to delete that app and use the other one, “livehome”, with the same login and password (I guess there is a link between ). It fixed it.

Try with another app. I hope it will help.

Sorry for my english, I m only french.

I had this problem on Samsung phone. Amazon echo was giving alerts but not phone. I followed instructions above going on phone to Settings>Notifications>Status Bar. It was set to Last 3 Notifications. I changed to All Notifications and now it works.

Success! I went into my Android phone’s settings , then apps and notifications, found Ring app, tap on storage and clear cache. There was over 50MB in there so I would urge you to do this regularly. Ring obviously uses a lot of data!

Here’s my solution:

I downloaded the Prof Reminder app (which i use to control notifications for other apps as well, including missed calls, text messages, etc.) and set it to control notifications for the Ring app - I use this one as my motion notification. I set another control for the Rapid Ring app which is for doorbell rings.

It seems like a long way around workaround, but it works perfectly.

I had this problem too after getting the iPhone 13 and signed in to 2 devices and one stopped giving notifications. Try resetting your network settings it worked for me.

This had been annoying the heck out of me as working on husband’s phone fine but not mine. Realised that when iOS was in ‘personal focus’ mode, the Ring app was disabled. Added the app to enabled apps and hey presto notifications started coming through. Best day of my life!

Do Not Disturb or Airplane Mode is on. Either system or app notifications are disabled. Power or data settings are preventing apps from retrieving notification alerts. Outdated apps or OS software can cause apps to freeze or crash and not deliver notifications.

Will
