1 2011 15" MacBook Pro logic board - help identify componant
So . . . I decided to give the cooling fans a spring cleaning - a task I have regularly performed.
However, over confidence & laziness took their toll - I did not bother to disconnect the battery.
Fate too, dealt her hand, in that I was munching on a chicken pie at the time,
Mother nature chose to weigh in as well.
A small gust of wind blew the foil pie container onto the logic board.
With that came a crackle & a spark - I realised in that moment, life as I knew it, ceased to exist.
As a result Mrs MacBook Pro refuses to start.
I have tried booting with the battery removed, as well as restetting the SMC & PROM - all in vain.
Can someone help identify the mortally wounded component in the pics ?
This is certainly not a repair I would entertain, but will send lappie off to a local company that does board level repairs.
