My car wants to start but wont

I have a 2000 Honda CRV, I had an exhaust leak by the catalay converter and my son's MECHANIC took the Catalan converter off and replaced with a flex pipe . The next day I drove 7 miles and on the way back home the car lost power and would only go 5mph, I got it home. My friend TOUCH the car and now it won't start, what he TOUCH no idea, he says nothing.

My problem is it wants to start but won't. Ok I've replace the fuel filter, spark plugs, the wires look good,The check engine doesn't come on, so i dont know what to do now. My battery, starter and clinoid are good. Can someone HELP ME PLEASE. THANK YOU, KIMBERLY
