Wet One Wipes and Keyboard

Some liquid from a “wet one” (a moist towelette) dripped onto my keyboard in the F4 area. I quickly wiped off the liquid, powered off the device for a few hours, and positioned my computer upside down so that all the liquid could evaporate. This happened over a week ago and my device is functioning normally. I brought my computer to the Apple Store and a technician didn’t see any corrosion when he opened up the computer and looked at “the bottom layer.” My computer has no evidence of water damage. But I know that corrosion can take time.

The ingredients in wet ones: Benzethonium chloride, water, denatured alcohol, PEG-8 Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Capryloamphoproprionate, Methylparaben, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Ethylparaben, PEG-60 Lanolin, Propylparaben, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice

Is my laptop a time bomb??? I have Apple Care Plus. Should I have my logic board replaced? I am afraid that my computer will spontaneously stop working. Thank you. Your insights are really appreciated!!!

Unless you spilled over 1/4 a tea spoon you should be fine!

How did you arrive at that volume?

A teaspoon or more of sea water, milk, orange juice, Martini or straight booze, Coke or other soft drink will damage your system if it gets to the logic board,

A 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar, honey or yogurt likewise will damage your system.

And lastly a few rain drops won't get into your system deeply.

Of course experience seeing what people spill into their systems ;-}

Here's a good YouTube What Happens if You Spill? - 2016 & 2017 MacBook Pro. This is the bigger risk.

Ok, that is comforting. The wet wipe contains mostly water and alcohol, but does also contain citric acid and leaf juice. Not experiencing any issues at all. Just trying to be proactive. Thank you for your response :)

@drracbur - If you're set don't forget to score & accept the answer.

In your opinion, should I do anything at this point??? I am experiencing no problems and the technician at Apple said that there was no evidence of water damage from looking at the bottom...but technically, there could be corrosion right underneath my keys... I'm not sure if it is worth replacing my logic board
