Liquid in USB-C charger

Hello. Yesterday, after being hit with the flu, I bought a bottle of NyQuil and mistakingly, I accidentally allowed it to open in my backpack where my laptop charger was and it drenched it. After trying to see if the cord was even salvageable, I tried it on my top right USB-C charging port and it didn’t work. Now, the port isn’t working at all. I have an appointment tomorrow with an Apple Authorized store and I have AppleCare+. I’ve already tried to reset everything I’m just not seeing any advice about the USB-C on the forums. I don’t want to be charged a ridiculous amount and I’m not sure how AppleCare really even works.

Best idea on the planet, trying to power on soaked electronics and see if it works, if it didn’t work, let’s try frying another working device to see if it is actually the case.

If there are no obvious mechanical or liquid damage in the laptop and warranty is still valid, they should not care and just repair your laptop for free, don’t mention that you’ve tried to charge it with a soaked charger.

And next time if your charger is damaged, just throw it away, damaging good devices is one thing, chargers deal with live voltage and can electrocute you if an internal short develops.
