Replace Logic Board MacBook, early to mid 2009

Hi.

The Logic Board from my MacBook white A1181 have a problem.

The model is 820-2496-A, with processor 2.0 (early 2009 - with one temp sensor)

Can i replace this model for other (mid 2009)? I would like a faster processor, ex: 2.4

What more i have to replace to do this?

Gracias from Brazil... tks...

Please. Someone could tell me if there is some difference between the topcase MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.13 13-Inch (White - Mid-2009) and MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13-Inch (White - Early 2009)?

Here's a comparison of the 2.0 & 2.13 GHz machines: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ma...

The 661-5242 2.16 logic should drop right in without a problem. The later machines have a different logic board.

Thanks you so much for reply...

Logic board Model 820-2496-A and 661-5242 i can change without problem

But, have i to change my RAM: 667 MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 for other 800 MHz?

Thanks again!

Yes, it looks like you will need to change RAM. Before doing this I would contact someone like we love macs, 1.800.588.5290 and see if they agree.

I found the logic board 2.13GHz.

Replace the board that had problems and tried to connect the MacBook with DDR2 667Mhz. Did not turn on, I really have to switch to DDR2 800MHz. Once i get the new RAM i post about.

Note: Battery charging started, something that had not happened.

After replacing my logic board some keys on the top case are not responding.

Do you think the problem may be in the top case, or just flat which can be damaged?

But now, some keyboard keys (on red) dont work.

On red dont work

Cold be cable?

Try doing an SMC + PRAM reset.
