Hi there,
it is very difficult to source a new display, mine is broken. Did anyone conduct an exchange of a Display of the MBA 13” Early 2015 successfully? If yes, which Display are compatible to exchange from older models/versions? As far as I have seen, only 2015 & 2017 are interchangeable.

Not sure I follow you here the display assembly is the same across the Mac Air models from 2012 to 2017. Apple didn’t alter its design until 2018 with the new unit they released.

I am aware that the design has not changed, but sometimes the cables are changed or had another (different) adapter. But if all the cables are 1:1 the same as in the older models, I am glad to hear this as I can source older Airs from 2013 for much less than 2015 models to get a working Display Unit.

Go to TheBookYard site and review the other options by its part number (661-7475) if you need a cheaper part.
The issue is the condition of the part not its physical age. I gave you the Grade-A part.
Here's the cheapest one you'll be able to find Grade C But I'll warn you it's not likely to be in the best of shape (scuffs and small dings)

You can buy the same from ifixit to make your Mac work again

Hi Amily,
I am living in Germany, would be easier and cheaper for me to source it in Germany. Some EBAY listings offer screens from 2013 and 2014 models, claiming these would be compatible, but I doubt that. So I still would like to get an answer from someone who has exchanged successfully their Display for an 2013 or 2014 MBA Display to be sure I can buy one of those.
