Replacing DC power jack

Hello! I plan on fixing a computer for a co worker — I still need to look at it in person, but she believes that the DC computer jack needs to be replaced.

If that is the fix, is this model/guide close enough with just a few minor differences to get the fix done? Thanks in advance!

The computer in question is a Toshiba Satellite l655d s5190.

Yes, it’s a close guide. There may be some variances on the inside of the laptops, but all of the ones Ive replaced weren’t too bad. Just watch out for ribbon cables and zif style connectors when lifting up the keyboard and tray. In the past, Ive had to use good super glue to hold the end back in place as the customer had pushed the jack back into the frame breaking the plastic housing on the laptop that holds it in place. Sometimes these are held in by screws.

Thank you so much! So long as it's similar, I shouldn't have an issue. I'll keep all of that in mind -- thanks for your answer! It definitely helps!
