Hi @saru98 ,

What is the make and model number of the desktop PC?

There are a lot of different High Definition Audio Devices.

Right click on the "faulty" HD audio device in Device Manager and check the make and model number of it.

Hi @saru98 ,

Is this a custom build PC?

If so what is the make and model number of the motherboard? You'll find this printed on the motherboard.

Also what does it say in the "general" tab (not the "driver" tab) for the HD audio in Device Manager regarding the make and model of the HD audio?

ok i'll check it manual after this.. just wait

If you look under the device details, find the Hardware ID and search it on this site

https://www.pcilookup.com/

It should help you identify the hardware you have.

Remove both the audio drivers, then reinstall the driver. You can trigger the system to detect the hardware using device manager.

  • Click Action, and then click Scan for hardware changes.

It should detect and attempt to install the driver.

Were you able to look up the Hardware ID to identify the correct drivers? Its possible that it is using a driver for windows vista/7 which isn't compatible with window 10. If you are able to ID the device, then you could look for a windows 10 version on the manufacturer's website.
