Why does my iPhone 6s have a blank screen?

My iphone 6s is charging, but the screen is blank. I can hear the charging sound though. This happened after I replaced the screen and I even tried the original screen and it’s the same thing. I’m thinking I may have damaged the screen connectors by pressing on the middle too hard instead of the sides or maybe it’s because I left the screen off for a few days and dust got in the iphone or something?

does anyone know who does micro-soldering repairs in san diego, california? or maybe a website where i can just ship them my phone? i prefer the first question so i can just drive over there without worrying about shipping.

It’s possible you damaged the connectors. Take a close look, preferably with magnification.

If the connectors look good, I suspect you may have blown something in the backlight circuit. the 6S is prone to that problem if you didn’t disconnect the battery prior to disconnecting and reconnecting the screen. The way to test for this is to connect the phone to an iTunes enabled computer. Then shine a bright light on the screen. If you can see a dim image, then the backlight circuit was damaged. If you see no image at all, then it may be the LCD driver circuit.

Either way, this would require a micro-soldering repair.
