Preguntas 1525 Ver todo

When I apply pressure to the top right of the logic board it turns on

I’ll explain the history of this device. The customer dropped it off at our shop to check and see if the phone can be fixed. He has dropped the phone and the screen cracked including the inside display meaning that the drop was fairly hard.

The housing doesn’t have dents (other than the usual drop scratch marks), no signs of liquid damage, no long screw damage present checked under microscope. The phone will boot up to the lock screen if you apply pressure to this area of the logic board constantly marked in red:

If you relieve pressure while the screen is on the phone will basically fade away into a black screen but the board is still receiving power.

I’m thinking there are bad solder joints under the CPU, what are the chances a reflow will fix this?

On a side note how do I unplug a iPad Mini digitizer cable without damaging the connector on the board? I have ripped the connector pins on it before.

EDIT: Solved. See answer below.

Never mind a reflow behind the logic board at the affected area fixed it.
