USB is recognized but not showing any folder

So when I plug my USB it makes the sound of recognizing it, and on the device manager it is shown and recognized (as mass storage device) however on My PC the folder is not shown.

Tried installing it from the device manager didn’t work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried reformatting it?

I tried reinstalling the driver via the Device manager. Since there's no icon to right click and press format on. Didn't help :(

Usb device is not connected on my pc ? How it's

@Nitesh KUMAR Is it a memory stick you're trying to connect? Does it make the usual ding when you plug it in? Have you tried plugging it into a different computer to seee whether it's recognised?

In the search box next to the Start button on the task bar (click on the magnifying glass if it isn't there) type devmgmt.msc and click on the Device Manager app it'll find. Can you see your device under Disk drives, or under USB Devices?

If you can, type diskmgmt.msc in that search box. This time click Run as Administrator. Do you see your memory stick along with your C drive? Does it show a healthy primary partition?

It sounds like Windows can’t recognise the content as a valid file system even though it can recognise it as a USB device. If you haven’t already, try it in a different USB port, then a different computer. Under Computer Management - Disk Management, can you see a healthy partition on it?

You might be able to recover it with Recuva, otherwise a partition recovery tool such as EaseUS might work.

I don't mind losing the data, mostly mind losing the device. It does show it on Disk Management. it shows it as unallocated, when trying to assign it to a new letter it gives me an error: "The operation failed to complete because the Disk Management console view is not up to date. Refresh the view by using refresh task. If the problem persists close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer."
