Apple iPhone 7 plus stuck in bootloop after screen replacement help.

I just replaced my iphone’s screen and connected everything right. When I try to boot up the phone the apple logo pops up for a bit disappears and repeats this. When I unplug the front camera flex cable the phone will boot, but touch id won’t work. I bent a corner of the home button’s lego connector, but it’s a very small one. I doubt the screen is the problem because the screens from this seller have always worked and have OEM IC’s.

First of all, never assume a screen is good just based on the suppliers reputation. Even the best suppliers ship out duds occasionally. The best suppliers will keep this to the low single-digit percentage while bad suppliers may ship out 10-20% (or more) junk. When technical folks here talk about “known-good” screens, they mean screens you KNOW work properly, not think/hope/assume they do :>).

Now the next thing is the condition of the connectors. They are easily damaged and depending on the type of damage, it may be sufficient to cause failures. You need to look at them under magnification, something like a jeweler’s loupe is good and cheap. If there is too much damage, it will have to be replaced either via micro-soldering or the whole flex.

Finally, did the replacement screen come with the Front Camera Flex pre-installed or did you transfer it over from your original screen. It’s not uncommon for pre-installed FCAM flexes to be poor quality. It’s always better to transfer the original and maintain as much “original” components as possible.

The flex cables I've tried are separate from the screen I bought.

any type of damage to the home button pins can cause issues, will it boot with no home button installed? also know that if home button is damaged the iPhone 7 series can’t have a new home button.

I disconnected the home button and it booted what can I do?

most likely you will need to either gently (if you are tech savvy) push that pin back in place. if not unfortunately you will need to keep the button disconnected and just use assistive touch.

are you able to have a very clear zoomed in picture of the damage to the home button?
