Can't enter password to unlock screen. I tried touching it but keyboard won't come up.

Try doing a soft reset and see if that works. If not we will move onto a hard reset.

Sometime this can happen because of your keyboard application is crashed. The most effective way for not losing data is just use a external keyboard. By joning external keyboard to your phone from charging port using some kind of ( usb to 'type c or type b' adapter ), you can easily type your password. Use another keyboard or update your keyboard application after that. In this way, you don't need to reset or format your phone.
