cant create partition?

When trying to create a partition for Windows7 via bootcamp i get an eror message stating that i have to reformat disk to single MacOS Extended (journaled). When i check my drive under disk utility it says that my drive is formatted in MacOS Extended (journaled). I dont have any existing partitions, what could the problem be?

NOTE: When verifying disk permissions i get this message;

PERMISSIONS DIFFER ON: "usr/share/derby' should be drwxr-x they are lrwxr-x

then the other message states:

WARNING: SUID file "System/Library/CoreS....as been modified and will not be repaired.

What do these messages mean? could this be the problem? I get these messages when trying to repair permissions. Otherwise the disk has been verified and is ok.

You'll need to boot up under a different disk (the recovery that came with your system or OS install DVD or external HD/SSD) so Disk Utility can repair the damage. After running it to fix the disk run it at least twice more times to fix the permissions issue. If you still have errors on the second permission run though you likely have to delete the partition/s and re-partion & format the disk. I would also defrag the disk if you do end up fixing the permissions issue before trying to install bootcamp again. I would recommend using Drive Genius but others will work as well.

Of course make sure you have a full backup before even starting this as you may end up needing to restore your files.

At first, you have to set the permission of Mac drive because Disk Utility is indication that , your Mac has some permission issue. After that go through bootcamp and create partition for installation of Mac. Let me know, if you find any problem.
