Instax mini 8 flashing lights and not taking pictures

I use my instax quite a lot so was confused when it wouldn't let me take pictures. My first instinct was to change the batteries and when I did that the shutter clicked as normal but I was at the end of my film. So I changed my film took the picture as normal and it clicked and sounded like the film was coming through when it got stuck. I managed to retrieve it after a while and put the film back in but now all 4 lights are flashing on the front, and inside under where the film box goes there is a silver bit stuck up on the right! Any suggestions to fix? I love my Polaroid camera and so upset this has happened
